14 January 2009 - ESA Official Grand Opening.

The official grand opening of Emirates Simulation Academy was launched on Wednesday, January 14, 2009 at the Health Auditorium, CERT Technology Park, Abu Dhabi.

The opening ceremony was attended by Mr. Ahmed Abdallah Sambi, President of the Union of Comoros, Mr. Mahmoud Ibrahim Al Mahmoud, Chief Executive Officer of Al Qudra Holding Company, Dr. Tayeb Kamali, Vice Chancellor of the Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT) and President of Centre of Excellence for Applied Research and Training (CERT), Mr. Jerome Feldman, Chairman of the Board, GSE Systems Inc., USA, Mr. Khaled Al Marri, Chairman Alternate of Emirates Simulation Academy and Sector Director of Al Qudra Education, Mr. Pavol Harangozo, ESA General Manager, and ESA staff.

The master of ceremony was Dr. Prof. Michael Krause, Dean of the College and Director of Military Affairs, at Valley Forge Military College, USA.

The ceremony was also attended by many local and international invitees from oil and gas industry, power and water industry, and government and training sectors.
